"Canada is the only country in the world that knows how to live without an identity."
~Marshall McLuhan

In honour of Canada 150, we wanted to compile a set of reflections and projects that would allow us to explore a view of Canada which focused on the future of our nation while simultaneously remaining rooted in our history.  And so, we’ve created "A then and now" of our nation’s stories, a place to touch upon the victories and short-comings of a country that is still so young.  We hope that these pieces can help you answer, in your own way, the question that has guided us through this creative process: "What does it truly mean to be Canadian?"

Our thoughts on the celebration of Canada 150 and the work we've put into these projects.

Read commentary from each of the authors as we share our ideas on Canada 150.

View our compilation of photos of the Canadian Landscape, ranging from the Fjords of Quebec, to the might of the Canadian Shield to the mountains of Newfoundland. Rediscover the beauty of our country and reflect upon the vitality of the landscape in our shared identity.

Explore projects created to explore the theme of They Are Not Here. Find out about the lives of two Canadian Soldiers from World War I who died overseas, and how students have retold their stories in the light of the creation Canada's Identity.
